Wachau Bike Tour
Wachau Winery Bike Tour
The original Wachau Winery & Wine Tasting Bike Tour - Since 2003.
Enjoy a unique winery bike tour to the beautiful Wachau Valley with its amazing scenery and quaint little towns like Stein, Dürnstein, Weissenkirchen and Loiben.
Take a break from museums and churches and discover the Wachau Valley on this fun Small-Group Tour of cycling and wine tasting in Austria‘s most famous wine region! Imagine a full day of leisurely cycling through one of the most beautiful regions in Austria, voted the Best Historic Destination in the World in 2008.
Arrive by train, hop on your bike and start exploring with us. Breathe in the fresh country air and take in the spectacular scenery as you ride through historic, charming cobblestone villages. Our first stop is at a small, local winery were you will get a first tasting the local wines. You will have the possibility of eating at a local “Gasthaus” where you can experience typical Austrian food. After lunch you will have some time to explore the UNESCO world heritage site of Dürnstein, a well-known medieval town in the Wachau, overlooked by the ruins of the Kuenringer castle where King Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned in 1192. Then we continue on to another village where we will visit a “Heuriger” operated by a local family where we will sample their wines which are grown in different part of the valley. On the way back to the train station we take a break along the Danube where swimming, for the hardy, is possible. Bring your bathing suit!
Our Small-Group Wine Tasting Bike Tour offers you an experience that would be impossible to do on your own. It is a unique wine tasting experience that combines breathtaking scenery, fun, and culture that some have said is “the best thing they did in Europe!”
Join us for a fun and informative ride – you won't regret it!
