Green Bike Tour Danube Island, Prater and modern architecture
This tour takes you downstream along the Danube to the last large wetlands natural habitat in Middle Europe, a wildlife paradise: over 100 bird species, deer, beaver, foxes and many more. Sightseeing highlights along the route include the University of Economics Campus by 5 international architects, Danube Tower, Reichs Bridge, Ferris Wheel and Hundertwasser House.
Time/distance: 3-4 hrs., 25 km
On the Green Tour we leave the bustling city behind us and cycle through 2 of the most popular recreation areas in Vienna, the Prater and the Danube Island. Along the route we come by the Hundertwasser House, the Ferris Wheel, the Campus of the newly built University of Economics as well as the DC Tower and UN-City. On the way back on the Reichs Bridge we enjoy a spectacular view of the Danube and the surrounding landscape. The focus of the tour lies on modern architecture and cycling in a relaxed setting. Optional stops on the Danube Island or in Prater for a swim or refreshments. This route offers a well-balanced mixture of sightseeing away from the usual Inner City hotspots and a cycling trip into nature. The tour is well suited for families with children who can cycle by themselves or are small enough for a child seat (maximum weight 15 kg).

This tour can vary in length and difficultly to fit your time schedule and level of fitness. Our excellent English speaking Austria guides have the experience and can also give you information about the historical significance of the area you ride through.
